The short handle and lack of an additional handle on the other side of the pot makes pouring the contents of the pot very difficult. I also find that the lid is not as "tight fitting" as Le Creuset would like you to think. Whenever I boil water, some of it will spit out over the side of the pot. It may just be my pot. Overall, I love the Le Creuset line b/c they are great to cook with and super easy to clean. I would pass on this pot and buy a Le Creuset french oven of a similar size, it'll do the job just as well.

I love this pot. Sure it's heavy, and the handle is a bit short, but to me that's part of the charm and individuality of this wonderful pot. I use it several times a week and each time it brings me happiness . . . even if I use it just to boil water for pasta. What more can you ask?

The cooking is wonderful. This is my 2nd Le Creuset. I bought this 3.5 quarts with one handle and I regret! With hot food in it, coming out of the oven with your 2 hands on this only handle its heavy! Don't buy it for Gran'Ma she won't like it. I suggest the 2 handles one.

Beautiful enough for the table and durable enough to outlive its lifetime warranty against defects, this heavy, 3-1/2-quart covered saucepan is made of cast iron clad in two coats of Le Creuset's famous hard enamel. As cast iron is unexcelled for heat distribution and retention and enamel is impervious to acids and odors, the pan cooks food evenly and gently without hot spots and can be used for marinating. It goes safely on any stovetop, including induction. The round metal handle tapers at both ends for comfort and is ovenproof to 400 degrees F. Like all Le Creuset cast-iron cookware, the pan was made in France using a one-of-a-kind mold that ensures each piece's uniqueness.
