I installed this item in 15 minutes and most of it was deciding exactly where to put it. It was a piece of cake although it does take two people to trigger it while "learning" the photo eye and the receiver. It worked perfectly when we tested it today for the first time. So i do not have any doubts that it will do its job correctly. I definitely recommend this product to anyone who is searching for an annunciator. I also recommend using a lithium 9v battery because the life is a lot longer and can withstand the cold and warm seasons. so far, so good. much love amazon!!

I have tried three other driveway alarms. The Dakota alert was not reliable, too many cars drive by within 5 feet and it did not pick them up. Tried calling the help line, wasn't much help. The Chamberlain worked well but I could not hear the tone of the reciever. It was not adjustable for volume or tone. Can't remember the other. The Optex has worked well so far, it has an adjustable volume so I can hear it while in other parts of the house. Simple to install.

This was my second driveway alarm. The first (another brand) never worked reliably and had a much shorter range than advertised.
This one worked as soon as I installed it and everytime since.
The source J. Mac Supply was even better. They shipped quickly and took back an extra item I ordered in error, refunded me promptly and paid the freight too! Remarkable service in these times. I will buy every security item I ever need from this firm.
